Kettlebell Equipment

I find myself needing more advice on some equipment. I want to incorporate kettlebells into my workouts for variety, but I am at a loss as to what to get. I can get a set with 5 lb, 10 lb and 15 lb for like $20, but when I google what weight I should get, I am seeing that a woman in average shape should start with a 18 lb. I figure ok, the 15 lb would probably be ok, BUT then I think if I would only use the 15 lb, why buy the set to take up space? So I guess my question will be, does anyone here use a 5 or 10 lb kettlebell for anything?
