Perspiration Pals 22 January 2025

Hi there, Pals! How are you today? I’m still far from being well. I don’t know what kind of virus this is, but I don’t seem to be improving. Plus, I managed to infect almost all my family members. (My Mum and my brother) Miraculously, my Dad is fine at the moment. So needless to say I’m worried. OK, worried is my default state…

Anyway, I haven’t been working out for three days but it feels like an eternity. I don’t think I’ll restart until next week, though. What about you? What program/challenge are you doing?

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Have you ever wondered how a painkiller knows where the pain is? Well, it doesn’t. If you take some paracetamol or ibuprofen for the pain, the pill will dissolve in your stomach, and the medicine will travel around in your bloodstream, visiting all parts of your body. The painkiller stops the injured cells from making and releasing the pain-causing chemicals and as a result, the messages can’t reach your brain. (source: 222QI Answers…)

I’m sorry Pals, but that’s all from me today, I need to lie down a little.
