Happy New Year Blendfriends!
Wishing everyone a year of happiness, health and growth.
We had our quiet night at home. I was proud of my control around the raclette and drinks. I feel much better than I could have this morning. I did sleep until 9:30 which is wild for me.
Started the year with eggs benedict and now preparing a soup for work lunches tomorrow and Friday. Using up some pumpkin puree in the freezer. I added quinoa after pureeing... hoping it will cook. We will see. I will also make something banana to use some of the bananas in the freezer. I hope to clean the freezer out really well. I have some other things I would like to get done, but no pressure. I should have them done by Sunday.
Usually, I would start the year with a gym workout but my legs are sore and my poor biceps are also. So, the gym is probably not so wise. Luckily, I signed up for a new year yoga challenge which I will do instead. I think it is only 15 or 20 minutes.
I think we will talk to my mom today and finally open the presents she sent which we forgot to bring with us at Christmas. And I will watch some of the Tour de Ski. I think it is so exciting, especially the day when they ski up the downhill hill. Yesterday, a Canadian woman did really well, 4th place. Bravo.
I am still mulling any resolutions, so I will report on that later. Maybe the thought of the day is a hint...
