Perspiration Pals 25 December 2024 🎄🎁🧡

Hello there, Pals! I’ve been doing this for over three years, but I don’t think I’ve ever started the thread on Christmas Day. So Merry Christmas! I know some of you are going through a hard time now and a simple ‘Merry Christmas’ won’t make you merry but just know that I’m thinking of you and I wish you brighter days ahead even if the present ones seem dark and hopeless.

I’ve just had a look at Alina’s post and I laughed out loud at the meme. My picture is basically a wish come true. I wanted snow and here it is. Up in the hills, not down here where I live but it’s beautiful anyway. I got my brother to drive me up to see it and I took some pictures. It’s already melting, though… Winter will never be the same as it was when I was a child and I have to come to terms with it, I suppose.

Exercise: I started doing Advanced Strength with Brian and today was an active recovery day. Normally, I’d choose a more challenging routine but normally, I wouldn’t be able to stay in bed until 9 a.m. on a Wednesday.  Do you usually work out at Christmas?

Moving on to our fact-finder fragment: I got some mixed nuts from my parents and I thought I’d ask you the following question: Why are so few nuts actually nuts? Scientifically, the word ‘nut’ is defined as a dry fruit that contains a seed but doesn’t split open when it reaches maturity. However, humans were eating nuts long before scientists came up with that definition; in fact, we probably started consuming them before we were even humans. So, here’s a tiny pop quiz: Which of the following ‘nuts’ are nuts: Hazelnuts, walnuts, peanuts.

All right, Pals, I need to go now, have a lovely day, (whether you celebrate Christmas or not) eat some nuts or nuts that seem to be nuts but in fact, aren’t.
