Perspiration Pals 11 December 2024

Hello there, Pals. How are you today? I feel like we haven’t talked in ages… It’s my fault, of course, because I didn’t get back to you last week. If all goes well, I’ll be on holiday from next week but hardly anything goes well these days so I’m a lot more cautious when it comes to looking forward to things. The only thing I’m really looking forward to is sleep. Lots of sleep… I might be turning into a bear…

I started Level Up with Tasha again but as usual the swap feature is a good friend of mine. All I want (for Christmas) is strength training. Especially upper-body routines. It’s funny because all memes about strength training point out that women prefer lower-body workout while men prefer upper-body routines…. What about you?

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Since it’s a bit grey and hopeless outside, I thought I’d present you with some fun facts about light. Did you know that Plato fancied that we see by shooting light rays from our eyes. (It would be quite cool.) Although the Greek philosopher was not completely wrong. Like all living things, humans are bioluminescent: We glow. We are brightest during the afternoon, around our lips and cheeks. Also, did you know that photography means “writing with light.”

All right, Pals, I need to go now be good (if you can) and don’t forget to eat some kiwis. (the fruit not the bird. Or people from NZ.)
