R4: Day 7 of Cooking more and Eating out Less

Hi! I got a sports nutritionist via my insurance and she had some really great ideas. She increased my calories to eat and gave a calorie range, which has been much easier to follow than aiming for 1 number.

I also bought these protein drinks that's vegetable based, and it's been great to add every day! It's more-or-less gotten rid of my pumpkin spice latte craving. If I'm really craving it, however, I'll get a pumpkin spice Keurig pod and am pretty satisfied with it. I did get a cake pop from Starbucks and had the coffee with it, but the coffee I had was much lower in calories and sugar compared to Starbucks.

I'm using Monk Fruit in my coffee - I'm not sure if that's a decent alternative or not? I usually would use pure cane sugar, but I add a ton to get the same level of sweetness as Monk Fruit. Since it's only 4 OZ, it doesn't impact me negatively compared to drinking coffee in the past.

I've only been drinking coffee on days when I have too little sleep, so 1x in 7 days, so not too bad! I switched to getting better decaf pumpkin spice lattes on Sundays, only, since that's the day that I go grocery shopping for the week.

I'm having a hard time with eating fruit in time. I won't buy that again this week.

What do you do when you have a lot of apples, but don't have the ability to eat it all? There are always sales on apples, so I get drawn to that.

Crumbl cookies has 3-6 pack mini-cookies, so I'm hoping that if I freeze them and focus on 1 Cookie per day, a deficit will be easier. I have insane cravings for chocolate when PMSing (like now), and so I have been craving chocolate cookies and cupcakes.

For next week, I want to stay within the calorie range and avoid buying food outside. Whenever I do eat outside, I go outside of my calories limit by at least 500. Since I'm always sitting, I've added walking on a treadmill 3-4x a week - I'm very focused on reading/work when I'm on a treadmill, but alas, I'm in the office and can't do that.

There's a cooking book I'm reading by Kenji and I'm hoping to practice the recipes next week to avoid that! There are also probably single serve recipes that I can try.
