HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group August 23rd

Hello, lovely people, and Happy Friday! How is everyone doing? I am looking at the calendar and wondering where August nearly went. Not that I am not excited for fall, but where did the time go?

I am still in a work and workout slump. Haven't had a chance to talk to my manager this week. I realized i could switch teams, as this would give me an actual team here in my city (my team is in Poland rn), a manager that has time for me and a few months' breathing time as i get onboarded. Haven't had a chance to talk with the other manager either, we'll see what happens next week. People were discussing wellness breaks last week and I didn't get a chance to respond. I could take a couple of weeks of medical leave but it wouldn't really fix my issue, I need a few months away from this team, at least. The new team would be people I already know and their projects are a lot less stressful because they're not customer facing.

Have not done a single workout since Sunday - this is not at all usual for me. My sleep has been bad again and I simply don't have the energy to pick myself in the mornings. I'm keeping with my steps goal and that's pretty much it.

Going to visit my parents this weekend. We'll take a trip to a lake tomorrow, I'll share some pictures, should be nice. Then next week Adrian's mom is visiting and the week after that we're doing a weekend trip with his dad. It wasn't intentional to have it in sequence but I am already looking forward to a quiet weekend at home.
