Why can't I lift the same as I did three years ago?

Okay so I'm 18 and I haven't worked out consistently for the past three years... but in the 3 years before that though, I was working out 6 times a week with FB including strength training - I haven't starved myself or anything over the past 3 years so why can't I lift the same as my 15 year old's self? Have I lost muscle mass? But how could I have possibly lost muscle mass when I haven't restricted my intake?
