Healthy Kind Support—June 16

I have been thinking about kindness. Fitness Blender incorporates kindness through its trainers, routines, and messages. My phone defines kind as friendly, considerate, well-meaning. I had to chuckle at the well-meaning because I often mean well, but it might not come across that way. And confession, in the past, it has sometimes been difficult to be kind to myself or others. When I was in my late teens and 20s, I put a sign up by my bed, listing positive things about myself to try and train my brain to be kind. I have also in my more mature adulthood, put a sign by my bed that says kindness begins with me because interactions with certain people make me twitchy. Really, I’m trying to behave and be kind.

How do you show kindness to yourself? How do you show kindness to others?

One way I’m going to be kind to myself is working with my body instead of against it. And I’m going to practice kindness to others by being patient. (ha ha this excludes the post on Pals, it’s a journey!)

The picture is from a year ago, but hot pink lilies make me happy

May kindness come your way today.
