Perspiration Pals 6 June 2024

Hi there, Pals. Happy little Friday. I’ve just remembered that I’ve forgotten to start the thread. I had a long day yesterday and it’s not going to be different today either. All I want at this point is a good night’s sleep. That and more money, an attractive face, perfect health, hair unaffected by humidity, social justice and world peace. Surely that’s not too much to ask for.

Anyway, I did Day 4 of the Bodyweight challenge or program I don’t even know what I’m doing. Today’s routine involved lifting weights here and there and my arm/elbow managed to behave quite well. It’s not that bad now but it’s far from healed, to be honest. But enough of my muscles with their hurt feelings. What about you? What program are you doing?

Moving on to our fact-finder fragment. I’ve chosen some women facts for today because why not. Most of the facts I’ve found are rather depressing but there are some interesting ones too. Did you know that the first computer programmers were women? Also, did you know that a woman's hippocampus —central to memories, mood, and emotions—grows in sync with oestrogen levels as she goes through her menstrual cycle? Bonus fact: One of the first woman in the world to receive an academic degree and the first to receive a Ph.D. degree did it in 1678 in Padua, Italy. Homework: please find out her name.

All right, Pals, I must dash now, be good and eat some delicious salad. (random piece of advice)

PS, sorry about the pictureless post...
