shoulder injury

HI, I am having shoulder surgery in two weeks and have been combining FB workouts with a local "boot" camp and swimming (just breast stroke, because the injury does not let me do crawl). Worried about losing a lot of fitness ground while recuperating, and know I can't push the PT to go faster or I could make the recovery longer. Wondering if anyone who has experience with this sort of thing has advice. I am older (61), not a natural athlete, but a pretty dutiful exerciser.
