HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group September 27th
Happy last Wednesday of September!
Hard to believe we are already approaching October. I am not ready for this. I would like to stay in golden September a little longer.
I wanted to share something we discussed at the training last week. the circle of control. We discussed the importance of focusing on things that are under your control and being aware of what you can have an influence on and what you cannot. The picture is a nice guideline of what things fit where. We were told to focus more on the things in our control. Of course, this was in a work setting so we really used work tasks as the focus and tried to realize what tasks are actually important for ourselves and that you have control over. We also discussed what can I influence/delegate to others. What do you think about this? Are there things in your work/life that you find you focus too much on but they aren't really in your circle of control, or even influence? Can you restructure your to-do lists to things that are actually critical for you and your job, and delegate what is remaining? I thought this might be interesting as some of us are experiencing high workloads and becoming overwhelmed.
Enough rambling... I hope it made sense..
What is on your plate today? I did a workout with Kayla this morning for upper body/mobility. I also have a run which I will do after work as I am still trying to properly understand it.
I have to go to my old workplace at some point today and am feeling a bit of anxiety.
I hope everyone has a great day and remember you are all welcome!
