Good Saturday morning Blendfriends!

We have been enjoying a full week of sun and warmer temperatures, and I sadly did not enjoy it as much as I could have, because I spent most of the week feeling worn down from worrying. Worrying about helping my father find a place to live. Worrying about my dog’s upcoming surgery on Tuesday. Worrying about making a mistake when I filed my income tax in April. Worrying about worrying too much.

It dawned on me this morning that worrying is a choice. I can choose to not worry and redirect my energy elsewhere. Worrying does me no good. Nothing is accomplished by worrying. In fact, for me it generates a form of inertia, as if I’m frozen in place, stuck in my own mind.

So I am taking steps today to get out of this worrying pattern. I will try the latest Guided Visualization to Decrease Overwhelm. I will go walk and soak in some vitamin D and look for lilacs in bloom. I will continue reading my book that I put away for most of the week. I will complete a workout and get closer to finishing the Old School challenge. I will do 10 minutes of house cleaning, to find a sense of accomplishment, however how small. I will stop being captive to my thoughts and be active today.

What are your plans for today? I wish everyone a wonderful Saturday and upcoming weekend. Looking forward to reading all about it 🙂
