Like many of us I had quite a sugary holiday season! It was wonderful while it lasted, but I started feeling really icky and I know I need to decrease my refined sugar intake. I haven't drank soda in years, but I realize that sugar has crept into my diet in other ways in my daily life. My Starbucks drink (the 2 pumps of chai in my coffee has 14g of sugar!), my granola bar in the morning (7g of sugar), kombucha (9g of sugar)... the list goes on! It's even in mayonnaise!!
I recently bought an economy size jar of Kroger peanut butter (I eat PB every day as a snack) just to discover it has 4g of added sugar per serving. I really want to get rid of these items in my house but I also don't want to waste food either. Maybe I could donate it or something?
Any tips for how to implement this change would be appreciated!
Also- any recipes or suggestions for sugarless sauces and condiments? I think sauces are the worst culprit in our house (BBQ, ranch, sweet relishes, spicy mayos, etc)
