Perspiration Pals 2 November 2022

Hello Pals! Haven’t ‘seen’ you for days which is entirely my own fault. My 4-day weekend is over and I’m back at work… I wouldn’t say it was easier to get up before 5 a.m. now that we put the clocks back an hour. Plus the weather is awful so I couldn’t see ‘my’ stars when I looked out of the window.

Anyway, I started the Booty Challenge because I haven’t done it before and my lower-body knows that very well as it took revenge by giving me really sore muscles. I couldn’t even recover from Monday’s routine, my upper-body didn’t even have time to get sore after a Tasha routine on Tuesday and now I got up to do another lower-body strength and Pilates routine. I’m not complaining though. This sort of pain is welcome. Well, not welcome but tolerated.

Today’s topic will be strictly exercise-related. Strange, isn’t it? Talking about working out on a fitness site… odd. Those of you who’s known me for over 2 years now know that I used to post reviews about programs and challenges completed. Since I’ve been working out early in the morning for over 5 months now, I thought I’d list a couple of benefits/disadvantages comparing working out early with working out in the evening and then you can add your own thoughts.

1) I don’t know whether it’s due to my early morning exercise but I’ve lost that extra little layer of fat around my waist. It wasn’t really noticeable and I wasn’t even bother by it but it’s gone. Maybe because I eat less in the evening since I’m not ravenous after a workout session. Who knows?

2) It’s difficult to get up early but when I worked out in the early evening my procrastination skills nearly always got the better of my will to jump into my workout clothes and just get on with it. When I get up, I have a couple of minutes to start so procrastination is not an option.

3) I get rather sleepy by around 8 p.m. and I don’t want to go to bed at that time. Earlier since I finished working out at around 7 p.m. I was wide awake in the evening but it also meant that I couldn’t fall asleep that easily when it was my bedtime.

4) I’m a bit more injury-prone early in the morning. There’s not much I can do about it except for trying to be more careful.

So these are just some points, I have more, but I don’t want to bore you plus I’m more interested in your experiences.

Have an easy day, Pals, I’ll catch up with you when I can. (it might be tomorrow or on Friday)
