First week of physical therapy

Hello fellow Blendies!

As some of you know, Ive been putting off going to the doctor for a while because I was (still am) preoccupied with a ton of work. Finally I started physical therapy though!

First my PT thought I have piriformis syndrome causing my sciatica and I will have an appointment with another PT from the same clinic in order to assess my state via different techniques, in order to confirm the diagnosis - if its not clear, I need to get an mri scan, which is a little complicated, as I need to wait a month for another doctors appointment and then theres a whole lot of waiting for the scan, so I really hope I wont need it. I got a series of familiar stretches that I need to do several times every day + foam rolling. After the second session she upped my exercises, so I get to not only stretch but also strengthen my abs (keeping them contracted while breathing deep into my stomach). I am also receiving an ultrasound treatment 2x/week so far. Im not sure when it really gets better, though I feel my posture being more upright and my Achilles tendon doesnt hurt so much, so I guess the stretching has its effects.

I have my first round of exercise behind me today, it took 40 minutes to properly complete all the reps, so thats basically a whole workout! I am starting to feel optimistic with these exercises, It takes focus and Im glad I can finally do a recommended set of exercises and put them into my calendar as custom workouts! Also Im excited to try the foam rolling workouts, as I have a foam roller and massage ball.:)

Sorry for the long post, I hope everyone has a great weekend!
