You guys!.. I know it may not sound like much to someone who has been running a long time, but it’s a lot to me.. I JUST COMPLETED MY FIRST 5K!
The story: I’ve always hated running. Never could get into it.
About 1 1/2 yrs ago, I started working out more regularly with FB. (Still no running).
I’ve completed several FB programs now and this spring I thought, why don’t I just add a little running here and there. It has grown from there and while strength training with FB is still my first love (fitness-wise), I now run much more regularly and just completed 5k, a goal that seemed lofty and unreachable just a couple of months ago!
I know that I would never have been able to even do this if it weren’t for FB. Their workouts have given me the strength and endurance necessary to do so much, both for running but also for dancing that I’ve been dabbling in.
A huge thank you to them!
Ps it was 90 degrees F/ 32.2 C, I still can’t believe I survived, lol!
I ended up doing this one in intervals… will try another one in August, this time working on a more even pace.
