So I've been in the recovery clinic for 2 months now. My release date is the 1st of July. Then I'll be an outpatient. I had a walking analysis, and there's still some problems with the foot and ankle that need to be addressed. To perfect the walking. We're also looking to build up the strength and muscles I lost. But with a routine that is closer to what I used to do. So yesterday I did squats, lunges and deadlifts.
The hand is still not really functional. It's improving, but we're definitely not there yet. But any improvement is positive of course. I have to keep trying to stimulate it, so I have to incorporate the left hand with daily activities as much as I can.
I Also have my resistance band in my room so I can do some pilates exercises when lying in bed.
Slow and steady wins the race right? Still have a long way to go. Hope it will all be ok in the end. Can't wait for this nightmare to be over.
