HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group May 24th

Hello Blender friends,

I hope you've all had a happy and restful weekend. Mine has been rather unsettled. Some of you may have noticed I've been around less lately. I'm starting to find the right stretches to work through the back and neck pain I've been having for the last few weeks, but it's frustrating that my physiotherapist cannot magically pinpoint the cause and that it's worse after physio. I guess it's a bump to get over. Worse news is that my mother has been in the hospital since Wednesday, and it took a couple days for the medical team to find the right course of action -- and communicate it. We learned she will be released to a physical rehab facility soon, but at her age it is super stressful for her, for the family and of course for her little dog. I am blessed that my brothers and sisters can keep me updated, but it's hard, living in another country when something like this happens. I haven't really had energy to express myself on the forum over the last few days.

But at the same time, it's a gorgeous spring day, bright sun, mild wind, perfect temperature and a public holiday, too! That's the part that made me choose today's quote: "You can find joy everywhere if you only look close enough." So I'll be out soaking up the sun and taking joy in green and growing things. I will water my community garden and chat with other gardeners. My container garden at home will be taking a big step forward as I transplant all the tomatoes into their big pots for the season. It's also time to repot the baby lemon trees. I offered the extras on our office "coffee machine chat" and two people are delighted to adopt some -- I may even be lucky enough to get some basil plants and maybe a courgette in return. All that will be a pretty good workout, and I think I'll try the new Pilated workout that dropped today, always nice to add some controlled movement.

So I hope you'll all have a good Monday, and let's make it the start of a better week!
