I have been using the last two months for a little cut, so I can say goodbye to the extra flubbiness I put on over Winter. Wasn't alot, but since there are no parties at the moment anyways, I kinda felt like engaging a little project.
In terms of nutrition, I went for a moderate deficit. My average maintainance level is roughly around 2700 calories per day, so I went for 2300-2400. On the few days when I went out, I didn't track and just ate and drank as much as I felt like. In total these were six days during the whole period. Keeping this deficit up was actually pretty easy. I prioritized foods of relatively low calorie density, so I could still eat quite alot - like really quite alot! Both my mother and my younger brother, who payed us a short visit during the cut phase, were not able to finish their lunch portions. x)
In terms of exercise, I tried something different this time. Instead of doing alot of cardio, I just kept up my strength training routine, starting with two rounds of FB Plus Bootie + FB Plus Flex, followed by a round of FB Strong. The idea was to minimize strength and muscle losses during the cut and I think it worked pretty well. In addition I walked to work and back every day, which is roughly 25 minutes each, so 50 minutes per day.
On the scale I dropped a total of 7.7 lbs, which was roughly what I aimed for. Now I am back at my "happy point" and I will try to get the next mass building phase done slowly and without gaining too much extra flubbiness. Looking forward to see if I will get that done this time! xD
I will add two back shots in the comments, since that's where I think the coolest progress is visible.
Bye, bye, flubby back! :)
