Yay! Yay! Yay! This is it, Blenders!! I completed the 13th and final 1000 calorie workout today. Took me 12 months to do it but I completed my challenge and 2020 NY resolution. I'm pretty happy.
which wasn't a bad idea....I was definitely ready to work out.
My thoughts? It wasn't as hard as I imagined! I took no breaks (yes, no breaks during the squat jacks!!) and only modified the push up jacks, doing them from my knees from the very beginning.
I paced myself really well, I think. I was completely focused on form and balance (cause there was some wobbling) and kept it going, slowing as needed.
And I loved this workout! Perhaps cause it marks the completion of my goal. But it also went by quickly and I kept telling myself: "I can do this for another 10, 20 seconds." And when the 20 seconds were over, I just repeated it. And eventually got to 60 seconds!
Next up: REST! No more workouts for the year - just taking a little break to get ready for 2021. This was a GREAT and satisfying finish to the year.
I just want to shout out to all of you who accompanied my on my journey....whether it was for one workout or many workouts! Thanks to one and all for joining the parties- your participation and enthusiasm boosted me and kept me going and I enjoyed doing these workouts alongside you. So thank you.
Special shout out to Magda, who I hope is doing okay.....thinking of you and hoping the days are brighter. Not sure if you're joining in today's workout, but you've been there since the beginning, so thanks, friend!!
And to all the Blender family, happy end of 2020. Let's all hope and work for a better and easier 2021....lots of good wishes to all for health, happiness and peace. And a show of gratitude to all the Blender team for their hard work, accessibility, professionalism and dedication. It's much appreciated.
ps I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on this workout, if you did it. I'm thinking that maybe Jacqueline (who's been very keen!!) may have already finished it.....so.....how did it go?????
