Getting Back Into Fitness

When you're coming back from a long break, you should basically not assume anything about your body or it's capabilities.

We should always listen to our bodies when working out, but this is particularly important when returning to exercise after a long break. Don’t expect to jump right back in where you were, but also don’t be discouraged by this. Do what you can, what is challenging to you (today).

You might need some time to build a solid base again, but you know you can do it. Take your time.

Be wide open to feedback, and listen to the messages that your body sends. Modify exercises, intensity, length, range of motion, etc. as you need to. It won't help to rush anything and in the end, the only real goal is good health.
