I like getting my work out in first thing, but often struggle with getting started. I've come up with these tips that help, thought they might be useful.
Anyone have more to add?
1. Getting out of bed (who wants to, really?) - I stretch a little in bed, tell myself "good morning", I'm going to "give myself" a nice start to the day. I envision the feel-good stretching of the warm-up and cool down.
2. Change into comfy/happy workout clothes before I leave the bedroom (my Fitness Blender tshirt is a fave). Something that makes me smile.
3. Have some water, cup of coffee and piece of toast, so I am not hungry but not working out on a full stomach. (I have a healthy breakfast later).
4. Allow myself to "procrastinate" by reading the FB Community page first - which usually inspires me to work out ; )
5. If I'm tired or sluggish, I tell myself I only have to get through the warm-up. I almost always keep going, but if I don't, it's okay. I have still given myself a nice start to the day.
6. If I'm a little stiff in the morning, I go through the warm-up twice. It makes a big difference.
