First Cheat Day in Almost a Year! No Guilt!

I've been battling with a history of overeating and always having the temptation to my cravings. After eating rather clean with some cheat meals here and there, I decided to go all out for my birthday the other day and have a cheat day where I'm allowed to eat whatever my heart desires!

I ate donuts, McDonald's, sushi, cookies, ice cream, etc. You name it.

What I learned: (1) I was able to stop when I was full and satisfied (2) my physique didn't change as much as I thought (3) I didn't have as many cravings as I thought I would (4) I returned to my usual routine of eating at maintenance the next day and (5) I was HAPPY

It's so interesting because since I've started to eat clean and ate at maintenance (Since May of this year), I haven't had any cravings whatsoever, as opposed to when I would "diet" and cut back my calories like before. Let me just say I was so afraid of doing this cheat day thing as I was afraid of feeling sick or overeating all over again. I wasn't afraid of the calories I consumed. I was more afraid I would develop my old habits of tracking calories and overeating. I will definitely incorporate more cheat days in the future!

I'm so proud of myself and just wanted to share this with y'all haha

Everyone stay safe out there and keep going! You got this!
