Getting abs with FB Abs 2 - Week 7/9

Seventh week done, which was the second but last week of the actual FB program. Just one more week and then a week of testing the developement of my strength, then the project is done! :) This week was again the third week of FB Abs round 2 and I can confirm my impression from last time: This is the most challenging week of the whole program! Especially the three days of HIIT/Abs combination left me swetting like an ogre and panting like a dog. x) At least this time I knew what was coming, so I could pick appropriate weights for the complex movement combinations on Friday. I really enjoyed the kickboxing routine on Tuesday... probably because I generally love kickboxing. It gave me this special kind of upper back/lats soreness I don't get from any other kind of exercise.

In terms of nutrition I kept up my routine from last week, which means I ate roughly 2400 calories per day. Apart from the increased total numbers, I also kicked my daily 100 calories of peppermint drops from the menu, which are basically just artificial sweeteners with some sharp flavoring agents. I like them, but after several weeks in a deficit, ahundred additional calories of real food are just worth more for me. For a couple days I felt a bit hungry two weeks ago, so these changes were necessary and they did the job. One of my golden rules for weight loss is: Never go to bed hungry, never starve yourself. So whenever I feel like I'm at risk of violating this rule, I adjust immediately. And since I am getting closer and closer to the lower border of my body's weight sweet spot, these things start to matter more.

Talking about weight, the scale went down by 0.6 lbs from 171 lbs to 170.4 lbs. That's half a pound per week over the last two weeks, which is a very good pace for me.

The picture is just me from the side and it was taken at the beginning of the week. It shows pretty well that there is not much belly fat left. A little bit at the lower belly (the bottom row of the sixpack is actually pretty fluffy xD ) and the lower back, but my body likes to keep a little fat reserve for bad days at these areas and I trust it's judgement, so I won't argue that. If this was the end result of my project, I'd be very happy with it, too, and I'll use the last two weeks for some experimentation with how I feel, keeping the slight deficit up for a little bit longer.

As always, I wish all of you a nice Sunday, a good start into the next week and all the best for your own projects and programs!
