May 2 Workout Complete + how I made a lower-impact modification(!) of the Low Impact R2 program
Workout complete! Short and nice. Had a hard time trying different objects at home as weights replacement (sack of clothes, electric bass guitar, books in plastic bags). Somehow I struggled to finish; so I put my makeshift weights down, carried on mostly just so I could tick the workout AND do the veeeery nice cool down.
Also, I'm on the Low Impact R2 program, but I don't take it very strictly. You can see the "Quick Sweat Lifting Session" is actually just an extra credit workout--I did not do the main workout. (Note: I still do a balanced combination of warm up, strength, and cool down, so I know it would not be harmful even though of course I would not burn as much calories as listed in the program.)
What about the workout I skipped? I created a "Stash" note, so whenever I don't feel like doing the scheduled workouts, I could go pick a workout I haven't done that's relevant for what I need. I'm going to post a screenshot in the comment.
Today's workout music was "The Vapors - Magnets (1981)". They were famous for the one-hit wonder "Turning Japanese" in the 80s but it turned out they have such an awesome body of work!! What a fun powerpop gem of an album to listen to while working out. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFru75Mvx14
