Hi all. So, since December I have been working out consistently with FB programs 5 days/week. I also walk an average of 2-3 miles 7 days a week. I eat relatively cleanly and I hate counting calories. Being stuck inside on the weekends (I still work during the week) because of Covid-19, and the stress that goes along with it and what I experience at work, my diet hasn't been as clean as usual. but really, I'm not binge eating or doing any kind of crazy indulgence. However, I am steadily gaining weight to the tune of now 7 or 8 lbs since I started working out again (I am 5'1", so it's a lot for me). I didn't mind the first couple of pounds because I felt great and didn't see a visible difference and my measurements weren't changing. But after stepping on the scale this weekend, I was very disheartened, but even worse, I just feel bad. I feel heavy and just...not great, and my clothes feel tighter. So I decided I would start tracking my calories on my fitbit app and modify my weekly exercise routine.
I went on damnripped.com to figure out how many calories I should be consuming daily to lose weight at a moderate pace. And here's the problem. According to the calculator, I should aim to consume 1272 calories a day to have a 20% calorie deficit. Okay. This morning I started Booty 1 with an intense lower body HIIT and cardio routine and then I had overnight oats for breakfast which consisted of oats, coconut milk, a couple of chopped figs, greek yogurt, nuts and some honey. With my coffee (no sugar, just almond milk creamer) that was a total 505 calories (!). That leaves me with only 767 calories for lunch and dinner (forget snacks, I won't have room for those) and I just don't find that sustainable.
Just really frustrated (and getting hungry, but trying to wait until I have lunch!).
Thanks for reading my rant and in advance for any advice or input.
