Weekly goals april 13th-19th

Alicia is taking a little break from the community so I am taking over the weekly goals posting for a while.

How have you all been doing this week?

I only had 2 goals for the past week:

-Exercise with my son 3 times this week.

-drink more water (at least 6 tall glasses a day)

I succeeded at both. I am keeping a 0.5 liter bottle of water on my desk and pooring myself glasses of water from there. I don't drink out of the bottle enough and when I just poor myself a glass of water I don't get a refill when it's empty. I do drink from a glass more and when the bottle is empty, I refill it..

I exercised with my son 3 times and we had fun. We have 3 other workouts planned this week.

I am sitting a lot at work and have not been getting in my steps last week. I am going to try to walk more on workdays. I want to try to work standing up, so need to find a way to do that. I am also going to pace my room while on the phone or when I am waiting for the copier / scanner to be done. It's not much, but it's something..

I have been tracking calories for 2 weeks to get back into a more normal eating pattern (i.e.: snacking less). I read a book last week that uses hypnosis to change your way of eating and while I am not going to do hypnosis, there were a lot of great tips in there to start eating more mindfull. So, this week, whenever I feel like snacking, I am going to ask myself: would I eat an apple? If the answer is yes, I will eat an apple, some nuts or maybe a small sandwhich. If the answer is no, I need to find another way to make myself feel good: read, walk, stretch; or drink something.

So: what are your goals for this week? Do you have the willpower and strength still in these trying times to set goals, or do you just want to get through the week without breaking down (which is a huge goal btw)? Let me know :)
