I'm trying to figure out how many calories I need to burn to lose around 5 pounds, but, as usual with math and equations, I'm getting mixed up!
My BMR is 1301.25
I usually do a FB workout around 3 times a week, but have a gentle commute by bike or walk, so its tricky deciding my activity level.
Expenditure would either be moderate (2016) or light (1789)?
When I look at my BMR compared to either expenditure, I feel confused about whether I need to cut down on my calories or not? Or just be more conscious about how many calories I'm eating?
My weight doesn't really fluctuate, and certainly I am within the range of a healthy weight (5/1, 115 pounds). I have been actively working out and doing FB programs since last summer. I definitely see that my body is much more toned and fit, but it would be ideal for me to still drop 5 pounds or so (TBH looking to lose some weight in my chest, where it seems all my extra is!)
Can anyone help me figure this out/give me pointers? It would be much appreciated :)
