Daily Check-in: Fitness Friday, February 28th

Hi there Blenders. We have yayfully (is that even a real word?) made it to another Friday, so that should feel pretty good, yeah? I want to brag a little about some gorgeous weather over here in Florida. Cloudless skies, comfy temps. I couldn't help but look up to the sky and feel that beautiful blue swallow me up on my walk yesterday. And on that walk I bring you a smidge of blue skies and the bell shaped blooms from a Rusty Staggerbush. Aka Crookedwood. Aka Rusty Lyonia. Aka Dragon Tree. Again, many names for something to basically describe the shape and color as this small tree/shrub has tiny rust colored hairs under the leaves and stems, and the wood grows in a crooked not very straight kind of way. It's wonderful for the wildlife, and the wood is decorative enough to use as the trunk and large branches of some artificial silk trees. Extra credit fact; tresspassers have illegally harvested these trees in the past on my property for the very purpose of selling the wood. Luckily with the help of the Florida Wildlife Commission, we put a stop to that here. Never caught the thieves. Only ran them off to where they haven't been back. But it's kinda crazy scary maddening what some people will do.

Okay, on to much different things like the rest (or workouts) of Friday. I was going to take a rest today as I had every intention of doing the 1000 calorie workout party on Saturday, the leap day. My schedule was suppose to be all cleared, but now I'm going to be swamped that day, so it looks like I will be joining the cheering crowd on the FB bleechers and just finish up Abs2 today with a HIIT and core session and get my program complete! It's been really fun doing this with buddies. Keep it up guys! The finish line is near! But for today, what sweat or no sweat is everyone tackling?

I think a Fitness Friday question would fit nicely here as it is workout related. I've read many people workout at all times of the day/night, so basically, the Q is what times of day have you tried for your workouts and what seems to work best for you and why? I've worked out first thing in the morning, right after breakfast, (not the best idea, I know, but I've been in a hurry a few times), around an hour after breakfast, and late afternoon. My favorite time is the hour or so after breakfast. I feel I have the most energy from the food and getting that workout in before the day demands attention feels amazing. I've never really liked the afternoons. I seem to be more drained, get a headache and not feel quite as accomplished for some reason.. but let's hear what time works best for you! And thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I always look forward to reading how others do things that works for them!

As for food, well for me it's quite simple. Pizza! Music to my tastebuds. My arms are a funny kind of sore from yesterday's workout, so I hope I can knead that dough and get the job done! But how are you eating today? The yummy and maybe not so yummy, do give us a little lick from your tasty day.
