Finding the Right Starting Place

A lot of us are going to use the New Year to renew our focus on health and fitness. Great!

Time spent on exercise and healthy eating is always worth it.

However, one of the most important things to remember at this time of year is to make sure you are not starting off at a place that is too difficult. Many people jump in with gusto, and promptly burn themselves out or injure themselves because they have started out too intensely for their fitness level.

Be kind to yourself, particularly if you are just getting back into exercise after a break, and remember that there can be an advantage in slow, steady progress.

Finding what works for you, and what you can sustain over time, is key to making healthy changes that will stick!

What do you have planned for 2020?
