So today was the first day of FB's Throwback Challenge! Lined up was a 19 minute kickboxing session (which was psychologically helpful to me because I originally thought it was one of the 50 minute kickboxing videos, and I have to admit it is not my favorite type of workout!). I actually had to grab a honey stick halfway through because I did it first in the morning and was feeling sick - I think kickboxing fasted has that effect on me. But with my new sugary molecule friends in my body, I managed to pull through! And that calf burnout was no joke either - I was tired of jumping, but I pushed through! I was close to doing just one round or skipping the rope, but I told myself it was all or nothing!
All in all, it was a good way to start the day - I totally deserved that croissant afterwards! :) Speaking of croissant, my post workout meal/breakfast was that hefty croissant with homemade apple sauce and cinnamon, some fig jam, Purity coffee (delicious, and their philosophy is quite interesting - any coffee fan interested let me know!) and the new Fage strawberry yogurt.
PS. Anyone who hates sugary yogurts, have you seen Fage's new sugar free fruit yogurt? OH MY GOD IT IS A BLESSING AND DELICIOUS!!!!
So who else has started the challenge? How did you fare? And what is your post-workout meal?
Speaking of food...
As for later, some more fruit sauces are in the making, today pear! I love slathering some homemade jam/sauce on some homemade bread! YUM! And then dinner I am hoping my mom is sticking with my favorite codfish casserole! What's cooking with you guys? I actually had rabbit stew for the first time yesterday....and YUM!!! It was great, but the company was the best - girl's day out with mother dear, my best friend, which makes me want to expound - make sure you show that love to your loved ones! Life's too short to be upset with each other.
Also, I don't think I ever mentioned this...so I got accepted into Physical Therapy school for next year! I am so excited, I can't wait to be full of knowledge about the human body and its mechanics!
I also just realized this seems a lot like Kim's check in....I had no intention of taking over that, I just wanna check in during this week's challenge and know what you all are up to! Still looking forward to Kim's check in :)
