FB Burn R2 complete

I have just completed my second FB program. After doing FB Strong (which I absolutely loved) in June, I went for FB Burn R2 to try something different, with more cardio/HIIT and longer workouts. While I completed FB Strong in 4 weeks, it took me 7 weeks to get through FB Burn R2. Throw in one hectic week at work and 2 weeks of vacation when I only worked out 2-3 times per week, coupled with intense Summer heat and humidity that zapped all the energy out of me, and you have some of the reasons why it took me longer than planned.

FB Burn R2 is intense, with lots of HIIT, so I got what I was looking for. I completed all but 2 of the extra credit challenges. One I just couldn't do on one of the warmest days this Summer and one was made up of only push-ups variations and I can only do wall push-ups for now, so I did not attempt it. I saw some progress with my cardio conditioning. When the program included weight training, I managed to go for heavier weights on some of the exercises. I even managed to complete a core workout using 2.5 pound dumbbells, a huge win for me as that is my weakest area. I found that I sometimes needed an extra day to recuperate from some of the workouts, so that is also why I took longer to complete the program. I was determined to get through it and am pleased to have stuck with it till the end.

Next week I'll do the 5-day challenge for busy people and then I'll decide if I go back to FB Strong in September of if I try something new. There are so many choices, I'll see what I want to focus on.
