Knee pain

Hi, wonderful FB fam! :)

My knee is aching a little (nothing new, it just sometimes acts up if I've done a little bit too much lower body workouts, it's not really a big issue) and I was wondering if I should use ice or heat? And why? I don't really know what difference it makes.
