FB Abs Round 2 Not Quite Complete - Review

The strange title of my post is due to the fact that I managed to injure my elbow before I could start the final week of the programme so I had to stop. Since it's the second time I've done (or almost done) this programme, however, I decided to write a review because it might come in handy for those of you who want to know more about it.

One of the frequent questions about the Abs programmes is the difference between Round 1&2. FB Abs has become my favourite programme, mostly for sentimental reasons (my first programme) but also because it's comprehensive and well-structured. If I had to compare them, Round 2, I would say, is a bit more HIIT heavy. The routines are more recent but otherwise, there are no significant differences. They both focus on the core but there are ample upper and lower body routines as well.

My body is rather slow to show off the results of the 'torture' I inflict on it but even I have to notice that my abs tend to be more toned after I finish either of these programmes. If your body is a bit more cooperative than mine, you might easily see other changes as well.

Be prepared for the burn in your abs and sore muscles all over your body. I noticed a funny thing about two weeks into the programme. I often got hiccups, as if my diaphragm had decided to join the party. Also, if you keep repeating these programmes from time to time, without overdoing it, of course, you will learn how to engage your core muscles to do the individual exercises as effectively as possible.

Finally, if you want to know the ratio of HIIT/cardio to strength training, I would say roughly fifty-fifty. It makes sense since working merely your core muscles five times a week would result only in disappointment. This programme, however, won't disappoint you. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did. Good luck!
