I wanted to ask for any thoughts on building a programme.
I have done several of the FB programmes but want to build my own from the library. My available time and days really varies and I was finding it hard to stick to the made programmes, having to swap days and getting behind .
My goals are to increase my overall fitness, loose some weight and tone up I imagine that's pretty standard. I am a pear shape so I also really want to target my lower body in particular my thighs. I now I can't spot reduce and I don't want a thigh gap (no offence at all to those that do want this or who naturally have this it's just not my shape.) I accept my body but just want to be the best version I can be.
So, I am doing 3 sessions of LB strength per week on non consecutive days. I also do pilates on those days. Ia m doing anything from 30 to 50 minutes per day depending on what I have on. On the other 2 days I am doing UB strength and a shot of HIIT. Usually around 40 minutes total. On day 6 I some extra core work and lots of stretching.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Does this sound reasonable? I do find that strength training (esp the LB stuff) gets my heart rate up there and I know that the pilates will fire my core but I'm not sure I am getting enough cardio?
I know this post is rather long, sorry! I would appreciate any thoughts or tips!
