Hi everyone! Some of you may have known I was taken on a 7K this weekend. This is the first race I've completed since an awful cross country experience a few years back.
My chip time was 48:59 and I came 85 out of 107! Pretty slow but under my goal time of 50 mins. I didn't take a single break either and I felt so pleased at the finish! It was great! All finishers got a medal and I did overtake some people about halfway through.
FB workouts have definitely helped me along with being more flexible and doing strength training. I'm planning to do parkruns (5K) to improve my speed.
Honestly, I don't feel unhappy about being a little slow- I really pushed hard and not stopping was an achievement for me. It was challenging but FUN
Hope everyone is doing well this week! It's getting into Autumn now so it might be easier to work out once the heat passes (the heat is already leaving in Scotland, ahaha)
