Amazing Meal...But No Recipe (Yet)

Sorry for the food post, but I couldn't resist. Charred noodles with chicken and bok choy (no idea what the dish is actually called...or if it even has a real name).

I'm trying to get my lovely and talented culinary-school-trained wife to start sharing recipes, but she always says stuff like, "but it's all in my head."

Hmmm...more like all in my stomach (mine, not hers), but that's a different problem. ;)

Anyway, so my amazing wife decided to make an udon dish tonight, but with a few twists (as usual). The biggest twist was that she decided to forego making udon noodles (which she’s never done, but are pretty easy evidently) in favor of making Central Asian lagman noodles (which are more difficult and time consuming, but she can make in her sleep).

The result is here. I'm sooo full and soooo happy right now. Her Uighur and Dungan friends would be so proud!
