I can't believe that the 4-week low impact program is already behind me. I really enjoyed the program, even when there were some workouts/moves that kicked my butt. I'm proud to say that I didn't miss a single workout, although occasionally I had to move the days around to give myself rest, etc. I also kept up with a run-walk program with a friend, and we've just reached 5-min run/1-min walk intervals. I only used really light weights - 1- and 2-lb weights that I sometimes combined to make 3-lb weights, because I didn't want to injure myself.
I forgot to take a 'before' photo, and I didn't weigh myself or take any measurements before I started, b/c I didn't want to get discouraged. But nonetheless, I'm feeling the difference in my clothes already. And if I'm squinting really hard/looking at the mirror in the right way, I can also start to see some definition in my calves and a hint of definition in my abs.
Despite my lack of measurements, I do have empirical evidence of progress: my pre- and post-program fitness tests! I saw improvement with every test element, even flexibility (my flexibility is terrible). I still can't do a single full pushup, but that's something to work towards. I posted a picture of my fitness test results. :)
I've decided to do Round 2 of FB 30 next. It was hard to decide which program to try, but this one appealed b/c it has beginner options at the beginning and the time commitment is more manageable for me than FB Fit. I'm starting that one tomorrow! I'm also thinking of investing in PowerBlocks or at least some heavier dumbbells so I can continue to work the muscles. And maybe I'll even get on the scale/take some body measurements. :)
I'm grateful to have discovered FB - this is an incredible community, and Kelli/Daniel are fantastic trainers.
