Happy Friday, Blendies! We’ve made it to the end of yet another week, and we’re more than halfway through April! Yowza!

And how are you feeding that body? We have some friends from Nigeria coming over for dinner; Hubs is smoking chicken quarters, I’m making collard greens, and our friends are bringing jollof rice. If you’ve never had it, I highly encourage you to find some Nigerian friends and ask them to make it for you!

Meme: I met with my dietician yesterday; I’ve been meeting with her for about six months. My previous dietician became ill and had to hand me off to this new one. I like her, but yesterday when I told her about my weekly Sunday night dessert of a single serve mug cake or cookie (single serve so as not to have leftovers around to tempt me) she suggested I replace it with fruit salad 😠. That meme is exactly how I felt. Fruit will never be a cookie. And if I want one cookie a week, I’m gonna have it. For my mental health! You too. Have a cookie!
