Happy Sunday Ppals!

I am trying to diversify my reading since I have been reading too many beach read type of books. Don't get me wrong easy reads have their place in my reading repertoire but I also need to read books that make me think. So my new line up of books includes The Handmaid's Tale, The Grey Wolf and Fast Women.

I read the Handmaid's Tale thanks to CK. I can't say I enjoyed it but I don't think it is a book you are supposed to enjoy.

Now I am reading The Grey Wolf by Louise Penny, This book I am enjoying. It leads me to talking about the meme. I like reading e-books on my e-ink Kindle since it is easier on my eyes, it has it's own light and it is easy to carry around. I was on a long wait list for the Louise Penny book and the hardback came up first. I am like the boy in the picture learning how to read a old fashioned book. While I was at the library I saw a display Women's history so I picked up Fast Women. I like the title. It is about women who ran in the 1936 Olympics. I will have to see how it compares to the Boys in the Boat (book about rowing team in the 1936 Olympics). The 1936 Olympics were held in Berlin 3 years before WW2. I'll learn more about it as I read the book. I read the Boys in the boat quite awhile ago so I may have to re-read it if I really want to compare the two books.

Now before I get too carried away talking about books I'd better get to exercise. I am happy to say I finally started LIR3. So far the workouts have been 40 minutes or less which is my sweet spot. Then I also have time to take a walk or do a stretching/mobility workout or spend time on my couch,

Now it your turn to let me know what you have been up to. Have you read any good books? What is on your to read list? And of course what workouts or programs have you been doing.

All are welcome here. I am looking forward to reading all about your weekends.
