HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group February 22nd

Good last Saturday of February! Though this month hasn’t been the best for me so far, it sure seems to be speeding along.

It’s a cold morning here, but temperatures will rise over the next few days, and we could even be above the freezing point by Monday. Looking at the long-range forecast, I don’t see any really cold weather, so things are looking up.

I saw the quote above a couple of days ago and it hit me hard. But I can’t dwell on what could have been, I have to use the quote as a motivator to move past this feeling of being frozen in place and constantly procrastinating. I realized yesterday that a big roadblock that I am encountering is having to encourage my husband to also move past his own procrastinating tendencies, so that I won’t have to take everything by myself, housecleaning in particular. It takes a lot of mental energy to « push » for two people. I think that’s part of why I can’t seem to get going, along with my own messy thoughts. I’ll figure it out.

What are you planning on doing today and this weekend? Anything fun coming up? I’ll be going for a walk after we go grocery shopping this morning. And I will continue to shovel my way to our back deck. I have developed pain on the outside of my left forearm, close to my wrist, so I’m shovelling light loads and for short periods of time.

Fun for me will be watching my first baseball game of the spring training season. I love seeing people out at the ball park, wearing short sleeves and baseball caps. It gives me hope for spring to come.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day! 🙂
