Good Tuesday morning! We had very strong winds last night, but we were lucky to not lose power. Our compost bin went for a ride though, but only made it to a bank of snow on our front yard. We’ll need to think of how to secure objects if this type of weather comes around again.
So it was another never-ending Monday at work. My colleague in Québec City was supposed to be training our new colleague, but she called me at 6:40am and she was feeling very overwhelmed and in tears. My heart broke hearing her struggle. So I took over the training and that meant that I worked 2.5 extra hours to try and catch up on my own work. This morning, I’ll be training our new colleague again, for half a day this time. I too am feeling overwhelmed with the amount of extra work that this training is adding on, and I foresee another very long work day again today, but I know that this will be over by week’s end, so that’s helping me get through the day. And venting to my husband helps as well. Sometimes, all you can do is let it out and focus on the better times to come, to get you through.
I don’t know if I’ll find the energy to start Erica’s Transform challenge today. The workouts look very interesting to me. We’ll see how my day goes. But I will definitely get in a walk with David before or after supper, to help decompress. We’ll have to bundle up though, as temperatures will plummet again today.
