I am not sure if this is the right place to post this (not sure if FB will ever read it), but I just wanted to say thank you for existing Fitnessblender. I would not know what to do without you.
I was never the athletic type - I just preferred doing other stuff, as I was not good at sports - weak and not mobile or flexible. However I just tried to stay somewhat active with exercises my physical therapist gave me.
After the birth of my baby several years ago, I was inactive for a long time and restarted again with the help of my (really excellent) physical therapist. But I soon noticed that the same exercises day in day out bored the hell out of me. My day was basically over when I had a workout scheduled, that's how much I hated it. Moreover, there were no visible results whatever and my PT told me that my body type has a hard time gaining muscle mass.
So I ditched the goal of building muscle mass and just wanted to find some activity that did not bore me to death, just to stay somewhat active. I then remembered this community fitnessblender that some blogger had mentioned years ago and checked it out. The option to do complete workout programs that are built in a meaningful way to reach a specific goal was very appealing to me and on top it was very cheap. I decided to give it a try and completed an 8-week beginner's program.
That was 2022 and I am still with fitnessblender :). To be honest, after some really enthusiastic weeks in the beginning, I am back to not reaaally loving working out, but at least I do not hate it, knowing I can do a different workout every day. And I know it's not optional, after 1-2 weeks of inactivity I usually don't feel well anymore. I really love the versatility fitnessblender offers, you can just do about everything from strength training to yoga. I also love all the different trainers - each one has their unique qualities and specialties.
Fitnessblender has really helped me through stressful times by being a constant in my life that makes me feel I have accomplished something each day.
In the beginning, my goal was to just do something several times per week that I don't hate. I did not have any fitness goals whatsoever, I thought I was a lost cause.
Now, I have reached my goal and so much more. Although I have to admit I still struggle to increase weights, my muscles are more defined than before. Last summer was the first one I was proud to show off my arms in tank tops. I have more strength in general and, totally surprisingly I am able to jump again. I thought this was impossible for me since my joints always starting hurting (I couldn't run, had to quit Tae Kwon Do because of it etc.). After 1-2 years of fitnessblender I felt confident enough to give it a try and incorporate the one or the other jump in workouts. When nothing bad happened, I increased the jump sequences and now I can do an almost entire HIIT routine - of course, there will be exercises that I'll never do, e.g. jump lunges, but I can do jumping jacks, jump squats and other easy jumps that would never have been possible before!
So, long story short - just wanted to say thank you! You saved my life. If it weren't for fitnessblender, I would probably not do any sports at all.
Just wanted to say thank you
