Good morning Blendfriends.
Today I wanted to remind us about treating our bodies nicely. Here are some nice body-neutral affirmations. Body positivity is typically centered around beauty and looks but what about functionality and what our bodies can do? Let's learn to appreciate these things. As I age and my body changes more rapidly (I feel), accepting my body is much harder than when I was young. I do not recall having as hard of a time as a teenager. Sure, I was always taller than the others, bony and clumsy but it seemed easier to ignore this and carry on. Perhaps with social media, it is harder now (thank goodness I am not a teenager). So something I am working on this year is accepting my body and appreciating it. You will hear more from me on this throughout the year.
What is going on today friends?
I will do two yoga videos from the January challenge. One is for my hips and back and the other is called sunrise yoga. Probably intended for the morning but does it really matter? I am looking at about 40 minutes in total.
I will continue working on my puzzle tonight and listen/watch some tennis replays. At work I listen to the radio so I can keep up with all of the action.
