Coming back from a back injury!

For those who’ve come back to exercise from a back injury, what did you find most helpful? Which workouts or modifications? I tore a disc in November, had a steroid injection a couple of weeks ago, and am doing physical therapy. I’m no longer in pain, thank goodness! But I want to be careful moving forward. For reference, I’ve been active all my life, have been a member here for 11 years, doc said I could start back with exercise, and just turned 55. Lay all your advice on me!!
