HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group December 16th
Hello everyone, welcome to your Monday accountability! We're getting a bit of a late start today, I'll admit. I decided to do my workout before starting the thread, kind of a "get up and go" impetus to the day. So of course, I got my day started by completely forgetting to come back and start the thread. Now that I've remembered I need to start our conversation, it's made me think of how much I rely on habit in my everyday life, to just program things in and not have to think about them any more. So I looked on line, and there are actually loads of quotes about that. I liked this one, because it praises the power of mindlessness:
"By mindfully shaping our habits, we can harness the power of mindlessness as a sweeping force for serenity, energy, and growth." (Gretchen Rubin)
So, today is a vacation day for me. After a four-day weekend, I'm starting to feel properly rested. I did a good Pilates workout with Daniel this morning. And I've had time to make food. Yesterday's salads were so nice, I miss summer salad season! I think I'll mix things up more in weeks to come. I tend to go for soups as soon as the cold weather sets in, but my tummy doesn't adapt that well to such a change. And I love my vegetables. Maybe I'll make végépâté for lunch.
I've also been thinking about being a rebel and taking a half-day at work ... there's so much to do by midweek.
I'll wrap up with the usual reminder : everyone's welcome to read and post here, we'd love to hear from you. Wishing you all a good start to the day and week!
