Id say Im still in the process of recovery from illness but I was curious about how I would handle a level 4 workout - what modifications would I use, how would my heart rate react, muscle activity, etc.
Well, I must say my heart rate can still shoot up pretty quickly but I think Ive got better results than at the start of the week when I tried level 3 workout and immediately went to the highest values.
Modifications used: low impact almost all the way. I tried one interval of high impact and that was more than enough for my muscles and heart rate, so I kept to low impact mods for the vast majority of the HIIT. In terms of the strength portion I used little to no weights to not burn myself out completely.
Overall I feel nice and tired, accomplished and hopeful that my body will soon build up the endurance its lost with covid. Excited to return to exercising!
