Hello there, Pals! I can’t hear myself thinking with my colleagues chatting outside the office. A former colleague, who retired years ago, has returned, (temporarily I suppose) and she’s the mother, father, sister, brother, cousin of all extroverts so she’s my complete opposite. 😊 I wanted to respond to Alina’s post yesterday by saying, yes, it’s citrus season here as well and I’m eyeing my clementines as I type. They look delicious.
Let’s talk a bit about exercise too. I started You Against You last week and apparently my present you is stronger than my past you and constantly wants strength training instead of the short HIIT/strength routines so I keep hitting the ‘swap’ button. I find it very difficult to get up because my body insist on that hot flush at around 4 a.m. but I have to get up at 4.47 so when my alarm goes off, I feel exhausted… Once I start working out, I feel fine most of the time. Although I sleep 9-10 hours at the weekends so I suppose I am sleep deprived…
Moving on to our fact-finder fragment, did you know that although the people of Pre-Columbia Mesoamerica never developed wheeled vehicles, they did create what are believed to be wheeled toys for their children. Quite interesting, isn’t it? Also, did you know that the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) was a period of warming in the North Atlantic from about CE 950 to 1250. The warming allowed the Vikings to build settlements in Greenland which were subsequently abandoned due to climate conditions changing. The “Little Ice Age” refers to the climatic period after the Medieval Warm Period, from the 1500s through the 1800s. Charles Dickens spent most of his life in the “Little Ice Age” where his earliest Christmases were snowy, which influenced later pop culture.
All right, Pals, I need to go back to work, have an easy day and eat some clementines.
