Daily check-in, Sunday, November 3, 2024 , weekend edition.

It’s 1230 (midnignt-30) so I can officially start the check-in. No? Ok here is my dilemma or question . (Yes I finally remembered and yes, I’m up really late for me! Bc I love you guys). If I use lotion with a few drops of body oil, nearly everyday, year round, WHY do my heals look like they’ve been shredded!?!? Not like ripped body building, shredded, but trashed, rough, ugly, shredded! Ugh! I don’t remember my heels/feet ever looking like this when I was a child and running wild with no shoes in the summertime. I bought a pumice stone last week and have used it 3 times and thought I was going to have to scrape down until I was bleeding to smooth out the roughness! And I’ve still got a few more sessions to go before my heels are as smooth as a baby’s butt! What the heck? Why? I’m sure those of you, that might be higher maintenance than I and get pedicures, don’t have this issue. Full disclosure: I’ve have had 3 pedicures in my life…one was a Mother’s Day gift certificate from my daughter, one was before said daughters wedding , and another was again with daughter before going on vacay. But it’s just not a priority to spend $$ on. Hey the pumice stone was less than $2. Is it bc I’m an old hag? Ok maybe don’t answer that particular question…rhetorical only!
Ok next on the agenda ! What are you doing today? Personally I’m getting up in a few hours and going to church. So “day of rest” for me, I really need to work on stretching tho and mobility and such. I have NO EXCUSE for not doing so, other than laziness (?).
I’m gifting a lady, in my over 55 ladies class at church, with a baby quilt for her new grandson, born this week, and I’m A Lot nervous! I really don’t know her…..BUT… I make quilts, and I have 3 baby boy quilts ready, so it seems like the thing to do! Ya know? 🤷‍♀️ I don't even have a gift bag, and didn’t want to leave my house to get one today. Too uncouth? Do unto others, right? I mean I dont really care about fancy shmancy wrappings . (Am I too overly practical?).
Weather : really LOUD thunderstorms tonight! Good sleeping weather! Except for when tornado sirens start going off at 0415! But all clear now at 0430.
Ok that’s all for me! Thanks for checking in with me! I have no idea who will be leading us this week, but it’ll be either the awesome Kim or Raven keeping us going!
